Typically, I try to review books by our CLASS alumni written within the previous twelve months. However, today I feel compelled to bring to your attention a book that has impacted my life and the lives of thousands since it was first published in 1935.That book is My Utmost for His Highest authored by Oswald Chambers.
I was first introduced to this book when I attended CLASS in 1986. In fact, for over thirty years Florence Littauer opened the CLASSeminar with a quote from Oswald Chambers. It was at that seminar I purchased my own copy and began reading from it every morning, a practice which continues to this day.
Chambers teaches from a deep personal relationship with his Lord. Whether speaking to soldiers or students, Chambers called his listeners to live aggressively for God. God's will, he said, can be found in any circumstance of life, so long as individuals are willing to have a personal relationship with Christ and completely abandon themselves to him.
